Essential Detox Retreat Preparation
If you are already
booked onto a detox retreat you will need to be prepared, especially if
you have not done one before. The idea of doing this preparation is
that by the time you come to the detox retreat, you will have already had
the worst of the healing reactions (healing crises) for some of the
powerful ingredients you will be taking.It is advised then that you do take some of the following (preferably all 3):
- Take Colloidal Minerals at the level of 2 fluid oz or more per day.
- Take an 8-12oz green juice per day (see main detox week page for typical ingredients).
- Take an Enzyme supplement.
- Eat less sugar, white flour products, meat, fish, cheese and dairy products (apart from butter or yogurt), eat no margarine and minimal fried food or highly processed food.
- Eat more salads and raw grated vegetables, steamed vegetables, sprouted pulses, whole grain products, healthy oils such as extra virgin olive oil and hemp oil (unless you are taking anti coagulant drugs).
- Drink less alcohol, tea and coffee.
- Drink more plain water if you do not drink much already.
